How It Works
Project Management Through Conversation
Worklogs was built for teams who communicate naturally but need their work organized. No complex tools to learn — just chat and stay organized.
The Problem We Solve
Traditional Tools Don't Fit How You Work
Scattered Conversations
Important decisions get buried in email threads, chat apps, and meeting notes.
Complex PM Tools
Traditional project management tools require too many clicks and too much training.
Lost Context
Tasks get separated from the conversations that created them, losing valuable context.
The Worklogs Way
Organization that flows naturally from conversation
Messages
Start with simple chat. Send messages to your team just like any messaging app. Messages are organized chronologically in Logs, which live inside Folders.
Threads
When you reply directly to a message, it creates a thread — a mini-conversation that stays connected to the original context. Threads reduce clutter without creating new folders.
Pins & Labels
Pin any message to mark it as important. Add labels for priority, status, or assignee. Pinned messages become trackable tasks without leaving the conversation.
Wiki Pages
Each folder includes a collaborative wiki for documentation, specs, or notes. Build your knowledge base as you work — everything stays connected to relevant conversations.
Key Concepts
Understanding the building blocks
Folders = Projects
Create a folder for each project, client, or team. Everything related stays together.
Logs = Conversations
Each folder contains logs — chronological streams of messages about specific topics.
Threads = Focus
Dive deeper into any message without derailing the main conversation.
Pins = Tasks
Any message can become a task. Pin it, label it, track it — all without leaving the chat.
Deliberate Design Choices
Thoughtful Details That Matter
Messages Don't Auto-Mark as Read
Unlike other apps, Worklogs lets you manually mark messages as read. This means you can selectively pay attention to what matters without losing track of important items.
Context is Preserved
When you reply in a thread or pin a message, the original context is always one click away. No more searching for "what were we talking about?"
Markdown Everywhere
Format your messages, wiki pages, and notes with Markdown. Toolbar formatting is also available for those who prefer it.
